Bonfire & S’Mores
Earlier this week, the weather was perfect for a bonfire and some tasty s’mores! 🍫 We socially distanced taking turns around the fire pit to roast our marshmallows! 🔥 A few Members even grabbed a glass of wine from our bistro and made their way outside to enjoy themselves! 🍷

We love having our art classes back in session! Our artists at Wildewood Downs are so talented! 🎨🖌
Saxophone Concert
We welcomed a special guest to our community for an incredible saxophone performance, our Social Director, Lena’s husband, Will! 🎷 Attendees socially distanced in the beautiful bistro with dimmed the lights and enjoyed happy hour as Will serenaded us! Of course, our Members loved meeting Lena’s other half, but they also said he has to come back every Friday night to play for them! 🎶 Thank you for sharing your musical talents with us, Will! 💓
Welcoming New Members
We recently hosted a luncheon for our new Members and a few members of our Welcome Committee! At this luncheon, they were able to meet and learn a little more about our leadership team as we each took turns introducing ourselves! Having a strong connection between our Members and team is important to us at Wildewood Downs! 🤝
Wine Pairings
Tis the season for red wine! Our Members gathered as we tasted three different variations of red wine (a red blend, pinot noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon). We paired the wine with individual charcuterie boards prepared by our fabulous dining team! One of our Members even rock his favorite vineyard t-shirt! We had such a blast sipping wine and enjoying time with friends and neighbors! 🍷🧀
Veterans Day Bagpipes Concert
Yesterday, we welcomed Bagpiper, Mark Nussbaum to Wildewood Downs as a part of our Veterans Day celebration. The weather, unfortunately, moved us indoors but our attendees didn’t seem to mind and we really enjoyed all of the music and patriotic tunes that he played for our Veterans! 🇺🇸 After the bagpipes, we honored our Veterans with a luncheon! Our Veterans branches were recognized on their name cards and each of them went home with a special Veterans pin. We had a fallen soldier table to remember and honor the sacrifice of the men and women who gave their lives protecting our freedom. All of our attendees got a toy soldier to keep and remember to pray for our soldiers who have served and those are currently serving. Everyone enjoyed the fellowship and delicious food our amazing dining team dished up! Thank you to all of our Veterans, we’re so grateful for your service. 🇺🇸
Veterans Day Parade
A wonderful time was had by everyone who attended our Veterans Day Family Parade! We welcomed the local Fire and the Sherriff’s Department to join us. Thank you Richland County and local hospice/home health agencies and our wonderful families for joining us today and making this event so special. Most of all, thank you to all of our incredible Veterans for their services to our country. 🇺🇸
November Birthdays – 102 yrs old!
At the beginning of this week, our Members rallied together to celebrate two of our Members Birthdays!! 🥳 As a special surprise, our Members participated in a golf cart parade! Everyone decked their golf carts out with signs and drove by their homes waving, cheering, and wishing them both a very Happy Birthday! Chuck and Jane were so happy and we loved seeing their beautiful smiles, it was so much fun! 🤩 Jane turned 102 years young!!
Drop In Birthdays
Birthdays are so important for us to celebrate at Wildewood Downs! 🥳 One of our lovely couples hosted a ‘Drop-In’ Birthday Party with all of these delicious goodies for everyone to enjoy! Their birthdays are just a few days apart so they always combine them and do one big celebration! 🎂 Join us in wishing them a very Happy Birthday!!
Halloween
On Friday, we celebrated Halloween with a ‘Thriller’ line dancing class by our Fabulous Wellness Director, Teka! 👯♀️ We went right into our costume contest and enjoyed delicious ‘mocktails’ in cute skulls hand glasses. ☠️
